Quinta Villa dos Cedros is immediately surrounded by unquestionable beauties. While still on the property, you can enjoy the lofty olive and almond trees, and Pereira’s surrounding landscape that spans over mountains and hills.

Pereira belongs to the area delimited as “Trás-os-Montes hot land”, and to the Regional Natural Park of Vale do Tua. The region was considered a “Starlight Tourist Destination” with international certification. At Quinta Villa dos Cedros you can, therefore, observe the stars and planets, without light pollution. The accommodation is a typical Trás-os-Montes house. While exploring the village of Pereira, you will come across several traditional stone houses and more typical Trás-os-Montes houses. From Pereira you can also go hiking, and near Quinta Villa dos Cedros you might come across and be warmly greeted by shepherds and their woolly flock.

In the summer months, you can pick wild blackberries. In winter, you can participate in the olive picking (final months of each year), and in February and March, be captivated by Quinta Villa dos Cedros’ vibrant blossoming almond trees.

Food wise, delight yourself with the typical products of the region such as a variety of traditional Portuguese sausages (“enchidos”), cheeses, “Folar de Mirandela”(a bread with “enchidos”), “alheira de Mirandela”, “alheira de Vinhais”, goat, “feijoada à transmontana” and rancho. Olive oil and wines are another attraction of the region.
